Sponsorship and Promotional Disclosure

Zap Cooking is building a new kind of food platform on Nostr. Part of that work may be supported by paid partnerships, sponsored placements, featured listings, boosted recipes, promoted marketplace listings, and other promotional features.

Disclosure Labels

When content, listings, or placements are paid for, we label them clearly using terms such as:

  • Sponsored — content placed by a third-party partner through a paid arrangement with Zap Cooking
  • Boosted — content submitted by a user and given increased visibility through a paid feature
  • Promoted — marketplace listings or other content that receive increased visibility within Zap Cooking-operated components through a paid placement

These labels are intended to help users understand when visibility has been influenced by a commercial relationship or paid placement.

Where Promotional Content May Appear

Sponsored, boosted, and promoted content may appear in areas of the Service including the homepage, explore page, recipe surfaces, marketplace listing surfaces, sponsor directory, and other Zap Cooking-operated components. These placements are promotional opportunities and may receive increased visibility based on the terms of the placement.

What Promotion Does and Does Not Mean

Unless clearly stated otherwise, paid placement does not constitute an endorsement, verification, certification, warranty, or guarantee of any person, product, recipe, listing, business, or claim by Zap Cooking.

Promotion of a marketplace listing does not mean Zap Cooking has inspected, tested, verified, or approved the listed goods. Sellers remain solely responsible for their products, claims, and legal compliance regardless of whether a listing is promoted.

Disclosure Integrity

Users who participate in promotional features agree not to remove, alter, conceal, or misrepresent sponsorship or promotional disclosure labels applied by Zap Cooking.

Zap Cooking reserves the right to review, reject, relabel, limit, suspend, discontinue, or remove promotional placements at any time to protect legal compliance, disclosure standards, community trust, technical performance, or platform integrity.

Our Standards

We aim to work with brands, products, projects, sellers, and communities that fit the culture of Zap Cooking. We reserve the right to decline, remove, or refuse promotional placements that are misleading, unlawful, unsafe, low quality, in violation of our Terms of Service, or not aligned with the platform.
